St Mary’s NS was delighted to officially submit our application for the SFI Discover Science & Maths Award 2021/2022 last week. Each year we are amazed by the incredible science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM) work happening in our school. The SFI Discover Science & Maths (DPSM) Award gives schools an opportunity to get much-deserved recognition for this work. As well as recognition, the Award brings a range of benefits; it provides a structure for STEM learning, raises the profile of science in the school and among parents and increases whole school collaboration.
A huge thank you to Mrs Riordan, Ms O’Sullivan and Ms Kelly for all their hard work in coordinating and collaborating the activities. We have posted our evidence log below. I’m sure you will agree that their has been fantastic work throughout the year. The children have actively engaged in all the activities and we are delighted with the outcomes. Here’s hoping to having some good news in the not too distant future and receiving another SFI Discover Science & Maths Award.
